The PAM Export Module for Fast and Efficient Reporting
Accessing business information for a variety of internal
and external audiences is an important part of your
business, and you need the right tool to get the job done.
The PAM Export Module optimizes the data extraction
process by enabling you to quickly and easily access data
and create files of PAM data for export to data warehouses,
other applications or reporting tools.
The PAM Export Module allows nontechnical users to meet routing and ad-hoc data requirements while liberating technology staff from the support burden associated with these activities. Using PAM's Business Information Objects, available data is presented in intuitive business terms rather than in technical terms.
It's Flexible
Data sets can be created with the following information:
- Security Master File data
- Security Positions, including forwards, futures and swaps
- Security Transactions, including forwards, futures and swaps
- Cash information on a trade and settlement date basis in local and functional currency
- Multiple cost bases are supported in the same output file
- Multiple currency bases - local, functional and/or other reporting currencies - are supported in the same output file
- Position data can be retrieved at the lot level detail
- Any to and from date, including use of relative dates with weekend and holiday logic
- Choice of settlement, effective, trade or ledger dates
- Comma-delimited ASCII (with or without headers)
- ODBC-accessible tables supporting Pervasive.SQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Access and others
It's Friendly
- Eliminates the need to understand data table structures by describing information in business terms through the use of PAM's Business Information Objects
- Leverages the PAM job wizard user interface to select data and set parameters
- De fine and save precise queries as re-usable templates that only include the data elements required for a particular purpose
- Access is controlled through PAM Permissions
- Because the Export Module uses PAM's business information objects, the module is insulated from database changes in future releases
It's Fast and Efficient
- Output files do not contain any extraneous data, thereby speeding up the extraction process
- Export jobs can be processed in attended or unattended mode by third party scheduling tools
- Improve turnaround times for your routine or ad-hoc
jobs, such as:
Populating a data warehouse
Importing to other applications
Providing data for use with a report writer, spreadsheet, or other analytical tool
