PAM Cash Application Module
Automates Receivables and
Cash Accounting
PAM's Cash Application Module fully automates your
cash accounting and reconciliation process. Online queries
provide detailed information on actual bank balances,
projected cashflows and historical bank account
activity relative to any transaction. Cash Application
increases your productivity by eliminating the burdensome
administrative task of reconciliation and enabling
you to address exceptions when they occur rather than
waiting for your custodians' statements to arrive.
You control the process for receiving reconciliation information
from your custodian. The module provides
a variety of ways for initiating the import and matching
of transaction data, allowing you to configure the
level of automation and control best suited for your
environment.

Key Features
- Cash records detail all cash receipts and
disbursements that have occurred in your account
since your last download. These records reflect the
settlements, income, paydowns and maturities related
to your securities holdings. Cash Application is multicurrency
and handles entries in a portfolio's functional
or local currency.
- PAM automatically sets up receivable/payable records
for all transactions, which are reported as open items
until cash from the bank feeds is applied in Cash Application.
- It highlights unapplied items, allowing you
to quickly focus on exceptions that have not been reconciled.
- Cash Application's automated matching of receivables
to custodian-reported transactions provides the basis
for the receivables and cash accounting.
- Events such as reversals, corrections, tolerance
matches and late postings automatically flow to the
accounting. The module automatically handles related
gains and losses. Since the matching is real-time, the
most current information is available online throughout
your organization.
- Cash Application allows you to set amount and data
parameters under which a match is acceptable, helping
you to quickly resolve slight differences that often
occur in the final amounts involved in a transaction or
situations in which cash did not move on the expected
date.
- PAM's reporting capabilities provide standard cash
analysis reports. You can also use the PAM Export Module or PAM Software Developers Kit to create your
own customized cash or portfolio analysis reports and
online queries.
